This is a superb example of a 'Mago' - endemic to the Western Arnhem Land region of the Northern Territory. This mago was crafted in the traditional style of the 'Bininy' people and is of the quality favoured for use in ceremony. Decorated with natural earth pigments, depicting catfish.
